About Artemis

Founded in 2023, Study Association Artemis is the new student association for students of the Master’s programme Geo-Information Science at Wageningen University & Research!

At Study Association Artemis, our mission goes beyond just uniting students pursuing Geo-Information Science at Wageningen University. We aim to bridge the gap between students, staff, and the broader geo-information industry. We do this by organizing engaging events, workshops and networking opportunities. By fostering strong connections and collaborations, we create a vibrant ecosystem that fuels growth, innovation, and mutual support.

Name origin

The name Artemis holds deep significance for our study association. In Greek mythology, Artemis was the goddess of the moon, embodying the celestial realm and its profound connection to Earth. Inspired by this connection, we recognize the pivotal role of satellites in gathering vital geo-information that drives our understanding of the world.

By adopting the name Artemis, we celebrate the spirit of exploration, empowerment, and innovation. We strive to embody these qualities as we embark on our own journey, empowering students in Geo-Information Science to shoot for the stars and make their mark in the ever-evolving world of geo-information!
